The "extremely friendly" staff and "excellent renovation of rooms" elevate this chain link among loyalists who also like the "handsome public areas", "great Downtown location within walking distance of many restaurants" and "fabulous concierge"; though a few fume over "being put on hold" continually by the front desk staff, and others still detect a "powerful smoke odor" in the nonsmoking quarters, this one works for most.

The upscale atmosphere.
No Hot Tub and only a shallow lap pool.
Over all I liked my stay. The room was extremely nice and the staff was very helpful. One complaint I guess I would have is about the concierge, or the lack of one. We stayed here for three nights and the concierge was never on duty. We tried to speak with the concierge in the morning, afternoon and evening - but they were never there. One other bummer was that the pool was just a shallow lap pool and there was no hot tub. The path to the pool/fitness center was not easily found as well. ...read more
